About Us
Who We Are
“Vetus Vicinato,” translated from Latin as “old neighborhood,” perfectly captures the essence of this historic district. As you walk through its narrow cobblestone streets, surrounded by traditional buildings and bustling markets, you’ll feel transported back in time. This pedestrian-only neighborhood, once home to medieval locals, exudes a rich history and charm. Every corner tells a story, and every stone whispers echoes of the past. From quaint cafés to lively markets, Vetus Vicinato offers a glimpse into centuries gone by while embracing modern vibrancy.
History
Vetus Vicinato is located in one of the many areas of the Medieval Town of Rhodes that suffered heavy bombing during the wars. This historic neighborhood, once vibrant with life, endured significant destruction. We are dedicated to revitalizing this area, breathing new life into the places where people once lived, while preserving the rich history and charm of the Medieval Town. Our efforts aim to honor the past while offering our visitors a luxurious, modern escape.
Location
Conveniently located, the neighborhood offers easy access to various amenities: the port is just a 5-minute walk away, the nearest free parking is only a 4-minute walk, and the beach is a mere 20-minute walk from your doorstep.
